Puppy Primer
Up to six months of age
8 weeks of class: $135.00

We will work on some foundation commands like sit, look, drop it, name recognition and handling and restraint exercises. We will talk about crate training, housebreaking, puppy proofing the home, household hazards, nipping, and begging. The focus of the class will be on socialization. The puppies will learn to politely play with other pups and enjoy being handled by strangers. Puppies may enter a class already in progress at any time. Fee will be prorated.  Puppies must have had the first two sets of vaccinations to enroll.

Basic Obedience
5 months and up
8 weeks of class: $135.00

We will introduce the skills your dog needs to be a well behaved companion, including these commands:
STAY, DOWN, STAND, COME, LOOSE LEASH WALKING, LEAVE IT, and WAIT.
We will focus on leadership skills for you and self control skills for your pooch.
Taking Puppy Primer prior to basic is recommended but not required.

Intermediate Obedience
6 months and up
6 weeks of class: $105.00

This class is designed to improve the foundation skills. The dogs will learn to work at a distance and with distractions. They will learn a PLACE command and a send out command. Emphasis will also be placed on leash skills.

Canine Good Citizen
Therapy (7 months +)
6 weeks of class: $105.00

This class is designed to get students prepared for the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen test. The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) is an AKC certification program that demonstrates that the dog is well behaved in public. Dogs must have completed Basic (or have been evaluated by instructor) Class includes CGC test on last night.

O-gility
8 weeks of class: $135.00

This is a fun new class that combines agility with obedience. Dogs will move around a course and perform the skills or maneuvers specified at each station, like down, then jump, then stay. As the class progresses the dogs will begin to participate in a low key competition with each other. They will gain new skills and hone established ones. They will also learn self control and to focus in the presence of other dogs all while having a great time. They must have completed a basic obedience class and not have aggression issues.

Clicker/Tricks Training
8 weeks of class: $135.00

This is a style of training that uses no corrections. A sound marker is used to tell the dog when he has done the correct action. This activity strengthens your bond with your dog, teaches him how to learn, improves his focus on you and keeps him mentally active. Mentally challenging your dog tires him out more than lots of physical exercise and a tired dog is a good dog. Authorities also believe that keeping an older dog mentally active can help prevent canine senile dementia. Teach your old dog some new tricks, such as:

PLAY DEAD, ROLL OVER, HIGH FIVE, CRAWL, PUT AWAY YOUR TOYS, SAY YOUR PRAYERS AND LOTS MORE!

Pre-Agility (12+ Months)
6 weeks of class: $105.00

This class is loads of fun. Dogs are introduced to different pieces of equipment, learn targeting, build off leash skills, enhance confidence and is good exercise. Participating dogs should be healthy and a proper weight. THEY MUST NOT HAVE ANY AGGRESSION ISSUES. It is strongly recommended that dogs have taken CLICKER TRICKS class prior to this.

Behavioral Counseling/Private Lessons

$80 evenings/weekends  $65 weekdays 8:00-4:00

 

One on one sessions in your home at your convenience.  A plan tailored to your specific needs.  Perfect for people with hectic schedules, shy or rowdy dogs. Teach basic commands/skills or work on problem behaviors like barking, digging, destruction, nipping, running away, marking, house soiling, not listening or jumping, counter surfing,  .
